I want to go as lightly as a bird.
My baby daughter, when you point to your belly button and ask “what’s this” with a grin on your face, my mouth says “belly button,” but my heart says:
This is the mark on your body that connects me to you. It doesn’t fade with age. It will always be there to remind you that my lifeblood is your lifeblood. You are a part of me; you grew with me, you ate with me, you cried with me. I knew you before I met you, I loved you before I knew you.
So when you look down at your belly button, know that although you are out in the world now, roaming, learning, laughing, being…you are still from me, you are still within me. An umbilical cord no longer connects our bodies, but a love that cannot be cut will always connect our hearts.
“And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination” (31:14).
when you feel as if you can’t escape from all your worries, remember that Yunus alayhi salaam was trapped inside the belly of a whale.
now imagine how scary this is. it’s like being stuck in an elevator deep down in a mine, without a button or the ability to scream for help. but far more worse.
and still, after all, Allah had the Power and Mercy on him to let him out.
do what makes you think He can’t do the same for you?
I’ve never wanted anyone more than I want you. I want you in my mouth, on my fingers, kissing me and me kissing you. I want sucking and biting and moaning and teasing and adoring and worshipping. I want to take a moment to just feel you. Feel your warmth against mine, feel your skin on my fingertips. Gently, softly, hard, rough. I want to memorize your body, I want to mesh into one, I want to be so close you that somehow and sometime, just maybe, some of your warmth and light becomes mine. I want you. I need you. You’re mine and only mine. And you’re so precious to me.
You are the hole, the piercing, the opening in my soul in which it breathes from. Breath after breath, it’s always you.
